Pearl Kupe is a Botswana national and an ordained Minister of the gospel under Good News World Outreach Ministry headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. She is currently based in Pretoria, South Africa and speaks at many local, regional and international conferences.

Pearl has a calling to the Body of Christ in general. She served for a number of years as the National Vice President & later as President for the Botswana Board of Aglow International. Aglow International is an international ministry for women which has been established in 175 countries worldwide. Her primary passion is to see God’s people being empowered spiritually, emotionally and in the natural.

Professionally, she is a qualified attorney with a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB), LLM in Advanced Labour Law (cum laude)and PGD (Dispute resolution) (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She worked as a Principal State Prosecutor in the Attorney General Chambers, Botswana.

 

 

In 1997 she was appointed the first Registrar of the Botswana Industrial Court and later recruited as a Social Dialogue Specialist by the International Labour Organization (Pretoria Office), a specialized United Nations agency. She is presently working as a Corporate Executive in the Capital Projects department of TRANSNET LTD, South Africa’s biggest transportation and freight company.

Pearl is also a business woman, She is co-owner & Director of MERUKANA DESIGNS, a company that designs and manufactures African clothing and jewellery and also has majority shareholding interests in a local South African company that focuses on property development and mining.

Pearl has been a member of and has served on a number of professional bodies including;

• Botswana National Council of Women (BNCW), Highest advisory body to       Botswana Government on gender issues;
• Botswana Magistrates & Judges Association (BOMJA);
• African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA);
• African Bar Association (ABA) and;
• International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA)
